Our Story
U2 in ECHO – A Tribute with a Heartbeat
The story of U2 in ECHO began over 20 years ago with Lennert’s deep-rooted obsession for U2—especially The Edge’s iconic sound, guitar tone, and intricate effects. In early 2024, after witnessing U2 live once again—this time in the groundbreaking Sphere in Las Vegas—Lennert finally decided to turn his lifelong dream into reality.
Not long after, he connected with bassist Stijn, and together they began the search for a drummer and a lead singer. After a few auditions and rehearsals, they met Wim—a tight, experienced drummer whose groove and confidence quickly made him an anchor in the band. With the rhythm section solid, all that remained was to find the voice to bring it all to life.
Finding the right singer proved to be the real challenge. More than 20 auditions passed, and no frontperson felt quite right. With the debut show looming, the pressure was on. That’s when Wim introduced Mika Kostic—a bold suggestion that would redefine the band's identity.
A powerhouse vocalist with a wide vocal range and striking presence, Mika wasn’t just capable—she was the female version of Bono. Her raw energy, emotional delivery, and dynamic stage presence immediately captivated the band. U2 in ECHO had finally found its voice—and what a voice it was.
Now, with a lineup that blends musical precision, deep passion, and a powerfull take on U2’s legendary catalog, U2 in ECHO delivers not just a tribute, but an experience—echoing the spirit, soul, and sound of one of the world’s greatest bands.
